Unpack your Ivy and place it on a stable surface. Connect the USB-C cable to charge Ivy fully before first use.
Download the "Tuya Smart" app from your device's app store. Click "Add Device" at the top right corner to discover your Ivy and then follow the app's instructions to connect Ivy to your Wi-Fi.

In the Tuya Smart app, select your plant type from the 60+ species database. Ivy will automatically configure optimal care settings for your specific plant.
Ivy monitors moisture, light and temperature, stores water, reminds you when to refill and displays how your plant is doing using playful facial animations.
Best for starter herbs, small trailing plants, young foliage plants or compact succulents. Think supermarket basil, mini pothos or a small philodendron cutting.
60+ pre-built profiles (basil, mint, rosemary, thyme, aloe, spider plant, peace lily, succulents and more). If yours isn’t listed you can still run in a generic profile.
A wicking channel lets the soil draw what it needs from the 120 ml tank. Most users refill every 7–10 days. Ivy signals with a thirsty expression + optional app prompt.
Battery lasts for approximately 8 hours of use, but for continuous sensing and animations we recommend leaving the included USB-C cable connected.
Use a 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network. Power Ivy, open the Tuya Smart app, add device & follow pairing. Once added you can link HomeKit / Google / Alexa from settings.
Expressions map to sensor states (e.g. dry soil, low light, night mode) plus touch inputs. It’s a quick glanceable status instead of raw numbers.
Yes—seasonal animations and refinements arrive over‑the‑air. You’ll see new reactions appear without manual flashing or cables.
Select plant profile, enable/disable sleep mode, change displayed photos (where supported) and receive watering reminders. Core sensing logic is automatic.
The enclosure is splash friendly for normal indoor watering and wiping. Avoid submerging or directing pressurised water at the display front.
